St. Max Kolbe is not just a school. We are a community of energetic families working together to make the world a better place for our children. Students benefit each day from contact with parent volunteers who assist in the classroom, on the playground and during special school activities and events. They also benefit when parents help behind the scenes - so teachers are free to spend more time teaching.
Veteran families often say their favorite part of St. Max is that they learn the power of serving others while growing in friendships that last a lifetime - ancillary benefits that are both priceless and eye-opening as children watch their parents grow too.
Volunteer efforts and family fun activities at St. Max are organized and guided by SPIRIT, the school’s parent organization. Parents elected to the School Advisory Council (SAC) work with administration to help guide marketing and enrollment efforts and the school's financial health. Both groups offer excellent opportunities to ensure the well-being of the school and to get to know other parents and school staff. Major school fundraisers, such as Ride for a Reason, Golf to the Max golf tournament, and our St. Max School Gala. are also guided by parent volunteers.
Throughout the year, the families and staff at St. Max host community events such as a pancake and waffle breakfast to kick off Catholic Schools week, Golf to the Max and our gala. We believe these events not only build fellowships, but strengthen our community.
